On-site Accommodation: Enjoy the convenience of staying at our center during your course. Our bunkhouse village is excellent choice to breakdown travel and be on the doorstep for the training course- please contact us to book or for more information.
We Come to You: Our expert instructors can travel to your business for personalised training- please note, if we conduct the training at your location, there will be a nominal daily off-site operational fee to cover our external expenses
How remote is the location? Ballyhass Lakes is 15-20mins car journey outside known towns of Mallow and Kanturk. All roads leading to the lakes are regional or secondary roads. During the winter season and early morning/late evening hours, the roads are not lit and would be more known as back country roads. Taxis can be gotten from the lakes to the local towns however there is no bus route passing the entrance.
No equipment is specifically needed to partake on this course as all the required equipment is provided by the Training Academy incl. but not limited to wetsuits, BAs, kags, paddles etc. This equipment is returned at the end of the course.
What is recommended to bring:
- Towels- swimming togs ect,
- A change of dry clothes
- Food and water- we do have a onsite cafe if you need some extras or forgotten your own
- Notepad and pen
- Weather dependent gear- Suncream, hat, waterproof clothing
The paddlesports instructor course is open to everyone keeping in mind of the following requirements:
- Some paddle experience
- Be confident in open water
- No age requirement
